Trainstation Manternach
The station is located in the centre of the village of Manternach, a small town in the east of the country. The two tracks on this line lead either to Luxembourg City or towards Germany, with Wasserbillig being the final station on Luxembourgish territory.
Platform 2, heading towards Luxembourg, is easily accessible for people with disabilities from the car park. The floor surface is smooth and free of any obstacles.
The platforms on both sides are 120 metres long each. In addition to train arrival announcements via loudspeakers, there are display panels that can be activated by pressing a button, announcing the arrival of the next train and its destination. These announcements are available in French only.
On each of the two platforms there is a shelter for passengers, each with a space reserved for people with reduced mobility. No toilet facilities are available.
Access to platform 2 is virtually impossible and poses safety risks for people with reduced mobility. An underpass available to bypass this hazardous area is not a viable alternative given the distance to be covered and the surface of the ground (mainly cobblestones).
