Trainstation Capellen
Capellen station is located near the NSPA facilities to the south of the town. This line bypasses Luxembourg City and connects Belgium (Brussels) with Luxembourg in the other direction. A spacious car park with 32 spaces, including 2 reserved for people with reduced mobility, is available for passengers.
The platforms are 200 metres long on both sides. Shelters for passengers are available on both sides of the platforms. On platform 2, the shelter has a bench for five people, in addition to a spacious area for standing passengers or for use by people with reduced mobility.
Platform 1 has a shelter for five people and a space for people with reduced mobility.
It should be noted, however, that access for people with reduced mobility to platform No. 1 is virtually impossible, given the difficulty of crossing the level crossing and negotiating the gradient (+8.9%) leading up to the platform, in addition to the narrowness of the passageway and the need to step onto the road.
The platforms are equipped with audio announcements, loudspeakers and CCTV cameras. There are no toilet facilities or emergency call buttons available for passengers.
